Sew Mama Sew Giveaway on The Sew Convert

Welcome to The Sew Convert’s first giveaway ever! I was a participant in Sew Mama Sew Giveaway last year and had so much fun visiting sewing blogs and getting to know other crafters out there. This year I am more than happy to host a giveaway. I wanted to start with something most crafters would need and want. Fabric!!! Here are three delicious fabric I’ve chosen for this giveaway from right 1) Pigs Galore (Japanese fabric, 1 meter Cotton/Linen blend) 2) An apple a day (Japanese fabric, 1 meter Cotton/Linen blend) and 3) Flower Vine Stripe by Valori Wells (1 yard, 100% cotton).

There is also a grab bag of buttons in a rainbow of colours (various sizes as shown in the photo below)

For a chance to win, simply leave a comment (remember to include your email or blog) and let me know 1) which is your favourite fabric out of the three and 2) what you would create with it.

You can get an additional chance to win by subscribing to my blog (I will have your email in my list of subscribers) and for a third chance to win, you can link back to my blog (remember to click on the link after linking from your blog so I will know and count that as an entry). So, you can get a maximum of 3 chances to win.

Easy?

The entry deadline is by midnight on Thursday, 20 May. The winning entries will be handpicked by my prince and princess on Friday, 21 May and I will announce the winners on the blog.  The first winner picked will receive fabric 1 and the second fabric 2. The comment I like best will receive fabric 3 and the grab bag of buttons.

I will email the winners for mailing information and send the items by Monday, 24 May 2010. I ship internationally. Keep your comments coming!

    You have a lovely blog!

  5. I love the flower vine stripe and I would make a cute summer tank top with it! Congrats on being featured in Grosgrain—that’s a big inspiration to me. We’re almost neighbors, by the way, I live in Japan and also am giving away some fabric for this giveaway!

  7. PIGGIES! I LOVE THE PIGGIES!

I’m making an epic queen sized string quilt, and I love having a few animal prints scattered in among the florals and geometrics. I love just noticing a squirrel or an owl (or a PIGGY) peeking out at you every now and then.

  8. I like the apple fabric, well, all of them, but Id do something for my boys, pockets of summer shorts probably 🙂

  9. We live on an apple farm so I would make a dress for one of my girls using the apple fabric. Gorgeous giveaway, thanks.

  22. Fabric AND buttons! But that’s a little girl’ s dream!
I think (the 3 of them are just so cute!) my favorite fabric is the Pigs Galore: since my Mum used to call me Piglet (yes, like Winnie the Pooh’ s friend), a pair of pj shorts and matching embellishments for a pj t-shirt would be most appropriate.
    What do you think?
    Thanks for the chance

    snyde30@mail.lcc.edu

  42. I love the pig fabric. I could see a summer top for my littlest (girl) made from it. But, all three of the fabrics are beautiful in their own way.

  43. Wonderful fabric! It’s a toss-up between the apples and the pigs. I would go with the pigs…and I would have to make a child’s backpack or something extremely cute!
    Amy

  54. I love the fabric. Especially the pigs. They would make the perfect inside of a tote bag. And then I just adore buttons – they could be all over the outside of the bag 🙂

  82. What a lovely collection! My favorite is the Apple a day fabric. I’m putting an apple somewhere in every quilt I make as a secret signature, because my surname is Orchard. At the moment I’m making a quilt for a little girl, using reds and pinks, and the apple fabric would look lovely. I had hoped I would have a daughter one day, but I don’t think that’s going to happen, so I’m hoping for a grand-daughter or great niece. 148. Thank’s for this great give-away!
I love the apple fabric and would sew a waistbelt for my jeans! I could wear it at my work and, by thus, bring a bit colour to the office. And I would love to have some of the buttons – they are so colourful and could pimp some boring shirts!
